Investment Committee

The Investment Committee is an ad-hoc committee created in 2010 to oversee the market and property investments of MSU SHC. Each semester, the corporate treasurer solicits all MSU SHC members for participation in this committee to acquire those members knowledgeable in finance and/or accounting to provide crucial feedback and advice on MSU SHC investments. In particular, the Investment Committee is responsible for: meeting once each quarter; providing a quarterly findings & recommendations report to the Board of Directors comprising any advice for the subsequent 18 months; maintaining an MSU SHC investments strategic timeline; and maintaining an MSU SHC investment policy, to be re-visited each year.

Currently, the Investment Committee is preparing for the re-financing of four properties collateralized in a single mortgage due February 2012 as well as preliminary recommendation of a new property purchase to be pursued in the coming year.
