SHC hosts networking event with alumni

On Saturday, April 16th, SHC Alumni Coordinator Sydney Burke gathered past and present co-op members for the first ever SHC networking event. Many generations of the SHC were represented at the event which was held at the Hatch on Grand River. The catering was provided by Woody's Oasis Mediterranean Deli. The goal was to create connections and opportunities for members of the co-ops.

Burke has been working for several months to better engage alumni. Her position as Alumni Coordinator was created specifically for her after she spent a summer interning at the SHC. After the success of her efforts, she was added to the team of staff members to continue to connect the SHC to the vast group of alumni.

A group of ten SHC alumni acted as a panel, and one by one they described where they ended up once they left the co-ops. Afterward, attendees were able to split into groups to ask questions and converse with the panel members.
